paper in pocket - washer issue

Postby funnygirl » Sun Aug 24, 2008 8:44 pm

Usually I am better about checking pockets, but this week I lapsed - badly. I washed my favorite cotton shorts with a receipt or paper of some sort in the pocket. Fortunately, the paper remained mostly in the pocket, but now I have a mess. I am thinking lint brush (I lined dry my shorts).

any suggestions?

This happens to me all the time! Well, actually I guess it's that Stephen and Tom tend to leave things in, though I might be the kleenex culprit.

Anyway, I just take out the big chunks and toss stuff in the dryer as usual. The rest is then caught by the lint trap or I just pull it off the dry clothes. If it's contained in the pocket, I'd just turn the pocket inside out and scrape/brush/pick it out with my fingers.

Good luck; I hope it wasn't something important!

Betsy and I do laundry the same way. Just be sure to clean the lint trap after you dry the load.
