PNM Cookbook

Looking for input...
I've finally been able to start pulling the recipes together for our cookbook. A few of you had volunteered to help with the process. I'm copying the recipes into Word docs separated by topics such as Ground Meat, Chicken, Soup, ect. - is that OK? Also, once I copy them all would anyone be willing to "pretty them up" for distribution? And lastly, how do we distribute them when done, email to everyone who is interested?

How do we pretty them up? Are we actually publishing, or just leaving them in a word file? I'm busy until George leaves and will do whatever anyone tells me to do. I know nothing about publishing and such though.

I think emailing is a good idea so that way one person is not paying for all the copies, mailing, etc.

Like Wanda, I have no idea how to pretty things up. The computer and I are not best friends.

If just a Word doc is OK with everyone then that is OK with me. Right now I'm creating separate docs for each category and will combine them when I'm all done. Reading these recipes over again is making me excited to start trying many of them :-)

How many recipes are we up to? Do we want to add any pictures? If it's not huge, I can format it in word and convert to a PDF that can be emailed.

That could be nice, Linda. Wonder how many of us have pictures though? Could get involved if most don't.

That sounds great Linda. When I get closer to being done (not even 1/2 way yet, I don't think) I'll let you know. Then we'll see how involved it would be to maybe add some graphics. Thanks!

I don't know if Word even has it anymore, but I used their Master Documents to format my thesis. It was really cool the way it pulled everything together. I was thinking of something like that since each section would more or less be a "chapter".

A suggestion for photos. Whether you want to add them before distributing or after (they could easily be inserted into a Word document), how about we all post pics the next time we make one of the recipes?

Tina- What help do you need. Do you want me to take a category? I know I said I'd help and then I plum forgot. You'd thin I wouldn't since I cook everyday! lol. Let me know and I'll do it. I'm more on the baking aspect of it, so I can do that if you want.
