Favorite PnM memories?

What are some of the threads or things that we did in the past that you still think about and laugh?

I will always remember how we "fought" to be top posters and kept track of how many posts we had compares to others. Also, the whole CeCe birthday thread that KL kept around until it reached 1000 posts.

Next?

For me, definitely some of Cheryl's bedroom threads! Very eye opening lol.

I remember so, so many of the threads. We've been through so much together, I'm sad that FB killed this place.

Cathie, do you mean Cheri, not Cheryl?

I remember the capers thread. That was hilarious.

And I remember the trivia games, I was the "host". That got pretty competitive!

And of course, the trolls we had and strange posters, such as Ladybug, the one that claimed she had all the kids? And Alex?

My favorite was when everyone came together to send Andrea out to Ohio to be with Holly after Jasmine was born and she really needed some help. It was awesome to see how everyone banded together in a time of need.

The trivia games were fun... and when WP became the Sisterhood of the Travelling Smut books.

We had some interesting trolls... but I remember most the ability to ask about anything and get an answer even though sometimes it wasn't what I wanted to hear ;)

The camaraderie. There is always something funny, interesting, difficult, joyous, heart breaking, etc., etc. going on when you have children, and it was nice to have an instant group to share with and bounce options off of. I think it was sometimes easier to cut to the nitty gritty because we were not all face to face, but sharing with such utter honesty created friendships that became completely deep and real. I miss that camaraderie.

Favorite memories of mine have to be the birthday thread that just went on and one. Another is the amazing sleuthing some did while uncovering less than honest folks.

I really doubt any of us would know each other were it not for PnM. Facebook is not the same.

No,,facebook is not the same. This place definitely brought us all together.

How about the post killer topic! And the capers. That was funny.

I do believe I was the original poster on the thread killer. I remember posting about it because it seemed whenever I posted on a topic, the conversation died and I was the last poster. I was beginning to get a complex!

We should totally have an online "reunion." Each of us emails, Facebook, messages all the PnM friends we know to come to the PnM site on a certain date. If that works, maybe we could have a monthly check in or something. I'd love updates on what everyone's kids are doing & on how everyone is doing -- really, not just the rosy FB kind of update -- the good, the bad & the ugly...

I simply remember how I could always come here and vent. There have even been times when I've simply wrote and wrote, but never posted, just because it would help me work things out. I would think to myself, what would Wanda, or Esther, or Amy or Cathie say? And I would see things from a different perspective.

Yes, FB is not the same.

I do belong to a private WeightWatchers facebook group - we came together about 7-8 years ago on the boards at WW. We are all tall women from all over dealing with our own unique WW journey. No one else can see our posts on FB because it's private. It's been a great place to share not only our WW stories, but everything else in our lives.

Funny, but I keep wanting to "like" posts :D

We helped one another and our village made the tough spots and new experience in our lives more understandable and livable.

I just tried to like your post, Wanda and Cathie.

It is sad we've just sort of moved on. :(

And sick as it is, I do miss the trolls from PHW - things were certainly stirred up then! LMAO!

I have too many favorite memories to list right now.

Like many of you, I also miss what PNM (and PHW) used to be, but I am glad that so many of the relationships have endured. I still try to visit here as often as I can, but it was definitely much easier when I had a toddler who napped!

I think I am struck by how much I have learned from you bright, capable women over the years. Being a mom has definitely been a lot easier with all of you in my corner.

I have to say one of my newer favorite PNM memories happened this summer, when I got to meet Wanda.

Well obviously my fave is meeting Andrea. I would do anything for PNM people because as I have said many times, you guys helped me when people who lived 5 mins away didn't help. That lesson right there, taught me a lot.

Cathie I think that is a great idea. I'm game. Lets get this place hopping some.

I have always came back here for advice when I wanted "smart" advice as opposed to asking on fb where the advice won't be as intelligent lol!

Lesley, it make me sad, too. I know most of us post and like things on facebook, but the interaction isn't the same. There is no depth. Tammy it was wonderful meeting you and the family! Fred and the kids crack up about my imaginary friends, and Fred has learned to plan around them.

One of my co-workers recently saw a photo of me with some of my imaginary friends--which is how they also refer to them--and commented, "Wow! They look so real!" :D
