Who has SNOW?!

Who has SNOW?!

Postby cathie » Mon Apr 23, 2012 9:21 am

I just saw on the news that some places are getting up to 12" of snow. Anyone here getting some?

It feels so odd here to have had a winter with barely any snow, but the kids just had vacation week and it was sunny and in the 80s every day. It's raining today but I'm not complaining! 8)

Not us. It was 99 yesterday. It's been a wet but mild winter here.

It was 85 last monday, today it is in the 30's. We're supposed to be getting snow, and some places to the east in the mountains of western PA/WV are getting snow but not us. At least yet. They were predicting 2-4" in the Pittsburgh area. Nothing but cold rain has showed up though.

No snow here - but we had a 20 degree drop in temps from yesterday. Change of frost tonight. Scares all the peach farmers to death...

We have snow - but it's wet and slushy. The roads are wet and when I came into work this morning the grass was covered. I hope our peas survive - but they are supposed to - they are labeled "very early" peas. They just started poking out of the ground. We shall see....

For once it's not me! Thank goodness.

We did get some unreal rain yesterday, though. I ran an errand -- you know, the kind where you park your car and have a long walk to the door, only to realize that the business is closed on Mondays. Ugh. Soaked to the bone. I'll still take that over snow, though.

It was record highs of 91 yesterday and the day before, today 84! But we are cooling off for the weekend back into the 60's. You look up in the mountains around us (we are completely surrounded by mountains) and you see SNOW on all of them still! The boys keep asking when we are going camping and I keep having to say look at those mountains... Think we can camp up there yet? LOL

In 2004 42,800 people died, and 2,757,000 people were seriously injured
in car crashes. Don't think it can't happen to you! Always where a seat belt
and correctly use car seats and booster seats for children.
