cups here too! My boys go through a tremendous amount of cups in a day. A lot of times they are squirreled away in their rooms (water cups).

Fluff.... what are you always putting away?

From my kitchen pantry? Every day I find the peanut butter and maple syrup out on my counters.

Re: Anything you have in excess?

Tina, I sometimes still watch our VHS tapes... Fiddler on the Roof, Titanic (yes I have it on VHS!) and Crossing Delancey are all movies I just watched over the past few weeks on VHS! We still have a ton of the original disney movies on VHS.

Re: Anything you have in excess?

Tisha, I'm impressed. Decks of cards would never last in my house! Especially from my childhood. Usually one or more of the kids have gotten into the deck and either bent them, or lost cards. I think Ryan took a deck of cards with him to Europe, but he must have had them in his room. I guess I proba...

Re: Would you take a 12 y.o. to Paris?

I would definitely take a 12 year old. It would be a great experience for your daughter.

Re: Sam's Club or Costco?

I also wanted to add Costco's prices on contacts and glasses cannot be beat. Cheaper than 1800 contacts, Wal-mart, etc.

Re: Sam's Club or Costco?

Sherrie, we buy the costco generic of claritin (they also have a generic version of zyrtec) and you can basically buy almost a year supply for about $15. Well, a year supply for one person, lol. If you have the choice of going to both, definitely give Costco a try, you won't be disappointed. I love ...

Re: Sam's Club or Costco?

We buy all our pet food there - Cady has to be on lamb n rice (or at least nothing with chicken, beef or wheat!) and I buy the cats' dry food there too. Beats the petco/petsmart prices.

I also buy stuff like freezer bags, trash bags, there too. I've heard they have good seafood too.

Re: Sam's Club or Costco?

PS used to belong to Sam's in Wisconsin and in TX... so we've been members to both. If given the choice, I would choose Costco over Sam's every time. That being said, I also love Aldi's, and GFS marketplace, which right in the same shopping area as my Costco. GFS is Gordon's food service, it's like ...

Re: Sam's Club or Costco?

Costco, definitely. A lot of the things are similar in both stores, but Costco is definitely a little higher end. I don't belong to Sam's here, but people that have been to both say that Costco is always clean, bright, etc and that the Sam's can be a little dirty. Since we are in PA, you can't buy w...

Re: Who has SNOW?!

It was 85 last monday, today it is in the 30's. We're supposed to be getting snow, and some places to the east in the mountains of western PA/WV are getting snow but not us. At least yet. They were predicting 2-4" in the Pittsburgh area. Nothing but cold rain has showed up though.

Re: Old dogs

Oh poor Dakota... I was going to suggest it sounds like senility to me. I have never dealt with that either. Our previous dog that made it to 13 died from intestinal cancer. Right at the end she had lost 20 lbs (1/3rd her body weight) and became incontinent of stool in the house, with bloody diarrhe...

Re: rules on eating and drinking around house

Let's just say that I have tried to enforce this... but it hasn't worked too well. Esp with my middle son. We will still find dishes in very weird places in his room at times... he sneaks it in and hides it and then forgets about it. HAve found half eaten pizza slices shoved on plates inside his dra...

Re: High school honors courses?

Betsy, interesting. Ryan's teacher actually recommended the opposite! She said if you don't know what you are going to do in college (and Ryan doesn't) you're better off with AP Calculus... Since Calculus can help with business, finance, science, math, etc... I am hoping Ryan will try an accounting ...

Re: High school honors courses?

I'm just going to jump in about the math courses and track in high school. Because of what has happened with our 3 boys and the somewhat different paths they've taken. What happens here is in 5th grade (last year of elementary) the students take a math placement test that places them on which "...

Re: OK, Facebookers - Timeline tips

I don't think it's a bad thing at all. I didn't take any extra time to adapt or anything. I actually think it's a little cleaner than the old profile. I haven't added anything special to my timeline or anything. It's actually nice b/c you can scroll down over the months and see your posts and pictur...
