Re: Friends over when you're not home?

I agree with Julie as well. No visits with no adults. Either at our house or others. I wouldn't feel comfortable about it either way.

Re: Dishwashers???

We have a Kitchen-Aide that was put in when the kitchen was built in 1984. Yes - it is 27 years old. Still works just fine.

Re: Not home for dinner...what rules?

We haven't really had this yet - all missed dinners we usually know about because it is scheduled stuff. Now if Jacob was driving/roaming freely (which he is not), it might be the case. But unless they had something cleared with us in advance, I'd assume they are home for dinner. Even if it is a bit...

Re: "The Help"

I read the book - have not seen the movie (and given that I go to a movie about once every 5 years, likely not to).

Both of my grandmothers had "help". I think it was just part of the South thing. I remember them well.

Re: FLUFF: pet names and nicknames

Tina - believe it or not, I have heard of people that have goats in their house. Not sure how that works, but I wouldn't recommend it!

Lilli is adorable - she's the runt and is still small. So very cute.

Re: FLUFF: pet names and nicknames

We have too many to name them all! 2 horses (Molly and Scout), 1 cow (Dud), 3 dogs (Elvis, Shiver and Jessie) and as of Sunday... EIGHTEEN goats (we had *triplets* on Sunday). Many of the goats are for sale, and the babies are fun... you can see them on my website: http://greatoaksfarm.weebl...

Re: Free School Lunch

Our schools have offered free breakfasts for years. My kids eat breakfast at home 99% of the time. There are times when one has had to go early (because others did) and they eat at the school. But not on a regular basis.

Well - they used to call me Momma. Now they call me Nancy. Weird, I know. It started a while back with Ben and now they all do it. Bugs everyone, but I've kinda gotten used to it....
