I had a clothesline, but with our property being surrounded by woods I was rewashing frequently because the birds liked to fly over and do their business. I love the smell of clothes that dry outdoors though. One downside t...

Re: What's For Dinner This Week?

Last night we had chicken on the grill (was a beautiful day!), baked potatoes and broccolini. Tonight we're having homemade chicken noodle soup (supposed to be rainy so good night for it.) Tomorrow breaded beef cutlets, mashed potatoes and corn. After that, not sure...

Re: For Linda and any other PNM scrapbookers (newspaper tip)

That is so cool! Thanks for the tip! I wonder if it will help if you have a clipping that has already begun to turn yellow?

Re: Pope Francis

A very humble man. I love that. Although I wish he was younger, I pray he lives a long and healthy life.

You can see what she has done for her clients by going to her site. They are all listed with links to their sites. http://www...

Re: MAJOR snowstorm on the way...

School was dismissed early, so I came home at 1:30. The roads were horrible. The snow is so heavy and wet that it's snapping branches in our yard. :( I started to shovel but didn't get much accomplished. Sean and I are going to go out in a little bit to work on it some more so dh can get in the driv...

There is an annual one they do locally that we've been wanting to go to. They have wine and beer tastings, food grazing stations, several bands/DJ's, raffles and auctions. http://rochester.ynn.com/content/top_stories/607444/families-team-up-for--tnt-explosion--fundraising-event/ I believe that April...

Re: Who's going to have a White Christmas?

We're getting dumped on right now. Supposed to have about 18" by morning. I had a vacation day today, but went in to pick up my laptop and files. I'll be working from home at least tomorrow, maybe Friday too. Then I'm off again until next Wednesday. Good call Esther. Brett goes back on the 13th...

Re: So what is everyone cooking/baking for the holidays?

Christmas Eve we go to my BIL's. I have to bring sausage, bread, a fresh fruit tray and cookies. They're also having shrimp, pasta w/meatballs, salads, lots of appetizers and desserts. Christmas day my mom is coming over and I'm making fisherman's stew (w/lobster, shrimp, mussels, cod), asparagus, c...

Re: Have your holiday traditions changed?

We no longer put out cookies n milk for Santa or carrots for the reindeer, etc. I miss this so much!!! What I don't miss is being woken up at 4am by excited kids wanting to open their presents. The last two years the kids have been allowed to open one gift Christmas Eve before heading over to my BI...
